Honeybees are the only bees that technically swarm. Swarming occurs when the colony is over-crowded. The queen raises another queen to take over the colony & then she leaves with approximately ten thousand or more bees to start another. While looking for another place to build the swarm will land on a branch of a tree, bush, or something similar, clump up on top of each other, & then send out scout bees to look for a hollow cavity to make a new home. When honeybees swarm, they are usually very gentle, until you start messing with them. Once angered they can be extremely dangerous & even deadly. They should be left alone let a professional deal with the hive.

Humane Bee Control Methods

Depending on the circumstances, we offer humane removal services. We understand that bees are an important part of our ecosystem, which is why we may relocate the bees rather than exterminate them. Of course certain situations would make it impractical to relocate the bees. When there is a bee nest that has been thriving for years with thousands upon thousands of bees, it makes it more time consuming and difficult to perform a relocation. As for smaller hives and bee swarms, we almost always relocate them away from the city and encourage nesting in the wilderness.
